May Palmer Magnet Artist: Fredrick W. MacMonies
Miss Palmer (also a painter) is shown life-size in late afternoon; the sun shines on her red hair. She wears a colorful chinese robe which blows in the breeze. Foliage background. Signed with the monogram of Pegasus. Artist was also a well known sculptor. The Bennington Museum has several of his sculptures in its collection as well as another life-size portrait of Mrs. Prentice of Bennington, Vermont.
